The largest surgical advance in the last 30 years has been minimally invasive surgery (MIS). It transformed surgical practice by providing well-proven advantages over traditional open surgery, including as decreased surgical trauma and incision-related problems such as surgical-site infections, postoperative discomfort and hernia, shorter hospital stay, and better aesthetic result. Nonetheless, competence in MIS can be technically tough since standard laparoscopy has various limitations such as a two-dimensional (2D) display that reduces in-depth perception, camera instability, a limited range of motion, and steep learning curves. The surgeon has little force feedback, allowing for simple motions, tissue respect, and more successful management of problems. Several computer sciences and robotics initiatives have been established since the 1980s to overcome the obstacles experienced with traditional laparoscopy, to supplement the surgeon's abilities, achieve accuracy and high precision during complicated surgery, and to promote the wider use of MIS.
